I went to Sequim to sketch sheep today, but as soon as we set up our easels, they headed off for faraway fields. So I didn’t learn much about sheep anatomy. From afar, they seem sort of like smudgy cotton balls with dark feet and noses!

Artmobile, 8 x 10, oil on linen panel, #396

It was our painting group’s first official “plein air” day of the year today. The weather didn’t cooperate at all–not a shadow to be seen. I painted the “artmobile” in honor of our hostess, who so generously shared her studio and garden today, and has carted many of us around in this venerable vehicle. Looks ready to go, doesn’t it?
